Mark Chapman, the batter from New Zealand, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, the fast bowler from Pakistan, have seen significant improvements in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings following their outstanding performances  in the ongoing five-match series. The series is currently level at 1-1 after three matches.

Chapman's unbeaten 87 runs off 42 balls in the third match propelled him 12 places up to 33rd position in the latest weekly update, while Shaheen's three wickets for 13 runs in the second match helped him climb two places to 17th position.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert is another New Zealand player who has climbed in the rankings, moving up from 27th to 24th, while leg-spinner Ish Sodhi has advanced from 23rd to 18th position.

Meanwhile, Dipendra Singh Airee has become the fourth player from Nepal to enter the top 50 in the Men’s T20I Batting Rankings after his unbeaten 44 against Hong Kong in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s Premier Cup.

The other Nepali players who reached the top 50 are Kushal Bhurtel (27th in March 2022), Paras Khadka (42nd in September 2019), and Rohit Paudel (45th in March 2024).

Airee holds the highest position for Nepal in the all-rounders’ rankings at 11th, with the next highest being Kaushal Malla at 25th.
