New Zealand have registered a 5-wicket victory over Pakistan in the rain-curtailed second T20I of the series on Tuesday (March 18). Salman Ali Agha led Pakistan's innings with a fiery 46 off 28 balls, which helped his team get to 135/9.  The Black Caps won with 11 balls and 5 wickets to spare, though, thanks to good innings from Tim Seifert and Finn Allen that made the chase look easy.

New Zealand chose to bowl first after winning the toss in Dunedin.  Pakistan got off to a bad start when Hasan Nawaz went out for a duck.  While Mohammad Haris (11 off 10) hit two fours, he wasn't able to turn his start into a meaningful score.  Also, Irfan Khan and Khushdil Shah were out for very little, which put Pakistan in early danger.

In the middle of the top order falling apart, captain Salman Ali Agha hit 4 fours and 3 sixes to keep the scoreboard going.  Shadab Khan, who only had a short role, helped him a lot.

Salman was finally out by Ben Sears for 46 in the 12th over, and Pakistan's lower order had a hard time getting going.  Shadab Khan (26 off 14) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (22* off 14) scored some important runs, but the team could only get to 135/9 in 15 overs.

As New Zealand tried to catch up to 136 runs, Shaheen Afridi threw a maiden over to Tim Seifert.  But after that, Seifert and Finn Allen went all out against Pakistan's bowlers, hitting five sixes each to help New Zealand score 66 runs in the first five overs.

Mohammad Ali cut short Seifert's powerful 45 off 22 balls, and Jahandad Khan bowled Allen for 38 off 16 balls.  New Zealand easily reached the goal in 13.1 overs, even though they lost a few quick wickets.
