India thrashed South Africa by 61 runs on Friday (November 8) in Durban. A superb hundred from Sanju Samson [107 off 57] helped India post a gigantic total of 202 on the board. In reply, South Africa were bowled out for 141 runs infront of Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi.

Being inserted to bat first, South Africa removed Abishek Sharma earlier of the innings. But Sanju Samson stood tall and smashed boundaries at bay. Sanju and Suryakumar stitched a crucial 66-run stand between them before Patrick Krugar removed the Indian skipper.

Tilak Varma then came in and blasted a quick-fire cameo of 33 off 18 balls to uplift India. Samson brought up his fifty and then eventually bludgeoned a swashbuckling hundred off only 47 balls and ultimately scored 107 off only 50 balls.

India collapsed at the backend of the innings but managed to get 202 runs on the board.
In reply, Arshdeep Singh removed Protea skipper Aiden Markram cheaply. Tristan Stubbs too got out but Ryan Rickelton scored a quick-fire 21 off 11 balls before being departed to Varun Chakravarthy.

Wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen couldn't get steady runs as he fell to Varun after scoring a slowish 25 runs off 22 balls.

South Africa managed to get only 141 runs and Varun Chakravarthy got 3 wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi too had 3 wickets to his name.
