Top notch Pakistani cricketers Mohammad Sami and Umar Akmal’s crisis deepened as investigations are running in the spot fixing scandal of Pakistan cricket. Reports said a top official of the National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom gave a testimony to the three-member anti-corruption tribunal in the spot fixing case via a video link last week and it has come to light that he also spotted the names of Sami and Akmal among other names. Pakistan Cricket Board legal advisor Salman Naseer refused to comment whether Mohammad Sami and Umar Akmal are investigation or not. "I would advise the media and everyone else to refrain from taking names of any players without official confirmation as it causes problems and so far I don't recall anyone in the tribunal and board taking the names of these two players anywhere," he said. But troubles are going in and around the named cricketers. Fast bowler Mohammad Sami who is in demand of foreign T20 leagues, has been asked by the authorities of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) whether Sami is under investigation or not. So far PCB has not commented on the issue but two cricketers are trying to convince the board to clear things up publicly. The spot fixing investigation in Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been going on in Pakistan since April.
