Joe Root scored a brilliant 68 off 114 deliveries before Gudakesh Motie bowled a fantastic delivery to knock him out. Harry Brook also joined hands with Root and he made a solid fifty.
Wicket-keeper batter Jamie Smith also scored some runs under his belt as he made a glorious 70 off 119 deliveries. England posted a massive 371 on the board.
Jayden Seales was the pick of the bowlers as he had 4 wickets to his name, while Motie had two wickets.
In reply, West Indies had a terrible start. Kraig Brathwaite found it tough to get going as he took 26 deliveries to get just 4. Mikyle Louis also consumed 49 balls to get 14 runs. Kirk McKenzie had a duck, while Alick Athanaze also had a start but no one stood tall to make a sustainable score.
James Anderson, Gus Atkinson and Ben Stokes had 2 wickets each and they led England to the new level.
