Mohammedan Sporting Club thumped City Club by 43 runs. Rony Talukder and Mahidul Islam Anokon's fifties and brilliant bowling from Musfik Hasan and Ariful handed them the victory.

Mohammedan came to bat after losing the toss. But the skipper Imrul Kayes failed to give them a flying start. But Imrul's departure didn’t bother Mohammedan as Rony and Mahidul stitched a fantastic partnership of 137 runs. Al Mahmud broke the partnership and brougt City Club into the game.

He trapped Rony for LBW on his 71 off 108 balls. He smacked 4 boundaries and as many of sixes. Ankon also couldn’t long his innings as he departed scoring 61 off 88 balls. His innings was orchestrated by 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. And then no one really stood up for Mohammedan as they were bundled before even playing 50 overs on 240 runs.

Chasing the total, City Club's opener Sadiqur Rahman consumed 18 balls to score 1 run. Another opener Hasan made 28 off 30 balls and then departed. Musfik then got the wicket of Moinul Islam as well.

Rafsan and Shahriar Komol then stitched a fine partnership of 54 runs before Shahriar fell to Naim on 38 off 38 balls. Rafsan then made a 63 run partnership with Moinul Islam Sohel at 7th wicket but couldn’t get going so far. Rafsan departed scoring 56 off 90 balls.
City Club were bundled for 197 runs and lost the match by 43 runs. Musfik Hasan picked up 4 wickets, while Ariful Islam had 3 wickets to his name.
