Riyad, Hridoy power Mohammedan to 5-wicket win over Gulshan in DPL

Mohammedan Sporting Club beat Gulshan Cricket Club by 5 wickets in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Mahmudullah Riyad and Towhid Hridoy both scored half-centuries for Mohammedan. The two middle-order batters helped their team reach the finish line with 20 balls to spare at BKSP Ground No. 3.

When most of the middle-order batters struggled, Shakil Hossain stood out. He hit 57 off of 71 pitches, which included two fours and three sixes. He was finally out, but his innings made sure that Gulshan scored 200 runs.
Mohammad Saifuddin was great with the ball for Mohammedan; he got 3 wickets in the end.
Mohammedan's chase got off to a bad start when they lost Rony Talukdar and Anisul Islam Emon early on. After a short 27-run innings from Tawfique Khan Tushar, things started to calm down thanks to a key 94-run partnership between Towhid Hridoy and Mahmudullah Riyad.
Before he was out, Hridoy looked strong as he scored 62 runs off of 85 balls, including four fours. Riyad, on the other hand, held the innings together until the end, hitting 7 fours and 3 sixes in 71 runs off 103 balls.
Riyad had already brought his team close to winning when he fell just before the finish line. With 20 balls left, Mohammedan hit the target, sealing an amazing win. Mahmudullah Riyad got the Player of the Match award for his very important innings.
