People in the flood-affected areas are enduring extreme hardship, with reports of casualties in some places. Continuous rain has worsened the situation, leaving the nation’s cricketers deeply moved by the plight of their fellow citizens. Several players have taken to their social media pages to express solidarity with the flood victims.

After appeals from players like Nurul Hasan Sohan and Towhid Hridoy, Rishad Hossain has also called for help. He shared a message of empathy on his respective Facebook page.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain posted a heartbreaking image of a child stranded in floodwaters, writing: "What a heartbreaking scene! The western part of my beloved Bengal is in deep crisis. My dear brothers in the field, please intensify your efforts. Despite the visible efforts of joint forces, the continuous rain is making the situation worse. Let's save lives, my brothers. Let’s all come forward from our own positions and help overcome this crisis. I also urge our brothers in the Teesta-surrounded districts of the northern region to remain vigilant."

Rishad concluded his post with a verse from the Quran, emphasizing the Islamic duty to help those in need: "Standing by the distressed, including flood victims, is the ideal of Islam. The Almighty Allah says, 'They give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive' (Surah Al-Insan, Ayah 8)."

Like the rest of the country, Bangladesh's cricketers are praying for the flood situation to improve swiftly, hoping for peace and well-being for all affected.
