Rinku Singh once again hogged the limelight after his blistering batting display against Australia in the second T20I at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The left-handed batsman drew plaudits for his calm and composed approach in the T20I opener against the Aussies.

Rinku SinghHe helped the team cross the finishing line in the first game as India beat the Aussies by 2 wickets and took the first lead in the series. The left-handed batter once again turned up the ante in the second T20I against the Aussies wherein he scored runs at a rate of knots and helped the team add flesh to the scoreboard.

Rinku Singh scored a blistering 31* off 9 balls with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes at a sensational strike rate of 344.44. In the end, India posted a humongous total of 235/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. In reply, Australia ended up at 191/9 in their quota of 20 overs and lost the game by 44 runs. 

Team India took a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series and are just a win away from sealing the deal. After the game, Rinku Singh explained his role in India's batting order in T20Is. Talking about his role, he said, "I have been playing at 5-6 for a while, so I try to stay calm and focused. I just play the ball on its merit, watch the ball and play accordingly."

Speaking further in the post-match presentation, he said, "Suryakumar is really good, we youngsters are enjoying ourselves with this setup. My role is to bat in the last 5 overs, so I have been working on his finishing skills. I do my net sessions with the same mindset."

The third T20I between India and Australia will kick off on November 28, Tuesday at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Australia will be looking forward to making a comeback after losing the first two games whereas India will be looking forward to wrapping the T20I series in style.
