Before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, Ashish Nehra, the head coach of the Gujarat Titans (GT), is allegedly close to leaving the team.

If Gujarat’s current owner, CVC Capital, decided to change the coaching staff in front of the massive auction later this year, it wouldn't be shocking. Despite Ashish Nehra's remarkable accomplishments throughout his time with Gujarat, the team appears to be undergoing transformation. 

It may be necessary to completely alter the current coaching arrangement, which also includes Gary Kirsten serving as batting coach and mentor and Vikram Solanki serving as director of cricket. There are rumors that Yuvraj Singh will take over as head coach in place of Nehra.

In reference to the conjecture about a possible managerial transition for the Gujarat Titans, from CVC to Torrent Pharma or the Adani Group, it is probable that any such deal will need to wait until February of the next year. This is because franchise shares are subject to a mandatory three-year lock-in term. This implies that the present CVC management will probably be in charge for at least one more season, and the auction is almost certain to happen in December.

Under Nehra, Gujarat have a stunning record in IPL. They won the trophy in their debut season in 2022, then in next season they ended as a runner-up. But the last season was not so good as they were eliminated from the league-stage.
