Australia have blown away Scotland in the first T20I on Wednesday (September 4) at Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh. Travis Head produced a brutal demonstration of power-hitting. Australia shattered records in T20I Cricket in the first T20I against Scotland.

Travis Head annihilated Scotland with his whirlwind 80 off only 25 balls.
In reply of 155, Aussie opener Travis Head bludgeoned an 17-ball fifty and became the joint-fastest fifty scorer in T20I Cricket for Australia. Head and skipper Mash smashed boundaries for straight two overs and their carnage was stretched longer as Scotland seemed to be local cricketers infront of Head-Marsh duo.

Australia made 113 runs inside the powerplay and this is a new World record as no other team has scored more runs than Australia in powerplay in T20I Cricket.

Head stopped his innings on 80 off only 25 balls, while Marsh made 39 off 12 balls and Australia are off to a flier in the three-match T20I series.

Earlier, choosing to bowl first, Australia started off to a flier as Xavier Bartlett removed O Hairs earlier on. Brendon McMullen and George Munsey stitched a fluent partnership as they added 44 runs at a good rate before Bartlett had McMullen for 19 off 15 balls.

Munsey played a quick-fire knock of 28 off 16 balls and got out immediately to Sean Abbott. Australia since then were very disciplined with ball, picking up wickets at regular intervals and managed to get only 154 on the board.
