South African southpaw David Miller opened up about his disappointment on the final loss to India in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Miller said it was tough pill to swallow to not steer South Africa home.

South Africa needed 30 off the last 5 overs and they were ultimately 7 runs short from the target. Miller was there and he couldn't take his side home as they scored just 14 off 4 overs and needed 16 from the last over, the southpaw struck for a six to Hardik Pandya towards the long-off boundary. Suryakumar Yadav pulled off a spectacular catch at the boundary line to end Proteas hopes of winning the first World Cup title.

Nevertheless, the southpaw enjoyed a reasonably impressive 2024 T20 World Cup campaign in the USA and the caribbeans with 169 runs at an average of 28.16 and a strike rate of 102.42 in nine outings.
