Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan is now set his target for having a successful outing Cricket South Africa's Mzansi Super League.

Rashid Khan becomes Afghanistan's highest ODI wicket taker

Afghanistan legspinner Rashid Khan has become one of T20 cricket's hottest commodities, playing in franchise leagues in India, England, Australia, Bangladesh, the UAE, and the Caribbean. With already having outings in the above T20 leagues as a successful player, the leggie has been added to the Durban Heats in Cricket South Africa's new T20 tournament named the Mzansi Super League. This will be the first outing for Rashid Khan in South Africa in any forms of cricket.

"I am so excited to be playing in the first edition of the Mzansi Super League."

The leg-spinner is hoping to continue his momentum in South Africa too as in the other leagues. "I have never played cricket in South Africa before and I have only heard great things. South Africans are passionate about cricket and I am looking forward to experiencing a new country and culture." But there will be a challenge for him to adapt himself in South Africa since Big Bash League of Australia and the Mzansi Super League of South Africa have their fixtures in back to back times. Rashid is confident of overcoming these barriers and having a good time in South Africa. "It is going to be a new environment for me but I think that my experience of playing in different conditions will enable me to adapt to the situation and conditions," he said. "The beauty of T20 franchise cricket is the world-class players that you play with and against. To be playing with the likes of Hashim and David is great and I look forward to joining up with them and the rest of the team," Rashid added about his new franchise.
