Rashid - Gurbaz thrash South Africa to win the series with one game to go

In reply, Rashid Khan ran riot and picked up a deadly fifer, along with Nangeyalia Khatore's 4 wicket-haul helped Afghanistan get 177 runs victory.

Afghanistan crashed South Africa by 177 runs on Friday (September 20) in Sharjah. Rahmanullah Gurbaz's magnificent hundred and all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai's swashbuckling 86* off only 50 deliveries helped them get 311 on the board. In reply, Rashid Khan ran riot and picked up a deadly fifer, along with Nangeyalia Khatore's 4 wicket-haul helped Afghanistan get 177 runs victory.
Afghanistan thrashed South Africa by 177 runs and clinched the ODI series with one game to go.
After choosing to bat first, Afghanistan had a fine opening stand, stitching a 88-run partnership before Aiden Markram removed Riaz Hassan. Rahmat Shah and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, both had 101 runs stand between them to give Afghanistan a solid platform. Rahmat was out on 50.
However, Gurbaz brought up a hundred and scored a fantastic 105 off 110 deliveries. All-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai played a swashbuckling innings to score a 86* off only 50 deliveries and Afghanistan managed to get 311 on the board.
In reply, South Africa started slowly as their openers stitched 73-run stand. But after the departure of the opening duo, the South African batting lineup faltered horribly. Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks got starts but couldn’t make it a sustainable innings.
Other middle order batters couldn’t even stand infront of Rashid Khan and Nangeyalia Khatore. Rashid and Kathore shared 9 wickets with each other and Afghanistan got a massive victory of 177 runs.
