Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 6 runs in a thriller on Sunday (March 31) in Guwahati. Nitish Rana's blistering knock of 81 off just 36 deliveries helped Rajasthan Royals get to a massive 182 on the board. In reply, Wanindu Hasaranga spun a web to hand RR a thrilling 6-run victory over CSK.

Being inserted to bat first, Rajasthan Royals had a timid start, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson cheaply. However, Nitish Rana and skipper Ryan Parag did the rebuild job, especially Rana, who bludgeoned a sensational knock of 81 runs off just 36 balls, orchestrating his knock with 5 massive sixes and 10 boundaries.

Whereas Ryan Parag scored 37 off 28 balls as Rajasthan Royals finished their innings on 182/9 after the alloted 20 overs.

In response, Jofra Archer delivered a blistering new-ball spell, getting Rachin Ravindra for a duck. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad steadied the ship for CSK, as he scored a gutsy fifty to his name, while losing wickets around him.

Wanindu Hasaranga was the master in chief for Rajasthan Royals, who triggered the collapse and did the damage in the middle order. Hasaranga picked up a wicket in each over and troubled the batters with googlies, finishing his spell with 4-35.

Despite all the collapses, CSK were needing 45 runs off 3 overs whereas they had MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja on the crease. But Maheesh Theekshana bowled a decisive over, giving away only five runs and that sealed the game for RR as they managed to defend their total, winning the match by 6 runs.
