Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali didn't hold back when he criticized Indian head coach Rahul Dravid for the Indian team's bowling performance against Australia in the Ultimate World Test Championship final at Kennington, Oval.
Former Pakistan player Basit Ali launched a devastating attack on Team India for their poor performance so far in the World Test Championship final against Australia. The team led by Rohit Sharma looked poor with the ball in the first innings and at batting the top side failed again in an ICC knockout game. Notably, Australia lead by 296 runs in Stumps on day three and it will be very difficult for Team India to make a comeback in the remaining two days.
The Aussie team will look to bat for as long as possible, giving India the daunting prospect of a mighty overall win at the Oval. Rohit Sharma's side conceded 469 runs in the first innings and in their first innings the Indian team was reduced to 71/4, only for the 109-run partnership of Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur to save their side as they suffered an aftermath narrowly escaped.
Former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali has criticized Indian coach Rahul Dravid for some decisions made during the WTC Finals. Ali said that Rohit's side lost the game when they decided to bowl and that the only way to stop the Australian side now is to hope for a miracle.
The 52-year-old brutally criticized India's head coach Rahul Dravid and gave him a bad assessment as a coach. He also questioned the kind of wickets India prepared at home recently during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
“I'm a huge fan of Rahul Dravid , always have been and always will be. He's a class player, a legend. But as a coach he is absolutely zero. They have prepared film presentations on the topic of India. Just answer that for me. Were there similar portals when India traveled to Australia? They had bouncy places, right? God knows what he was thinking. "Jab upar wala akal baant raha tha toh pata nahi kaha pahaado ke peeche chhupe huye thhe" (God knows where he was when God distributed brains)," Ali said.
