Team
absolutely dominated the mighty Aussies at The Gabba. The visitors not only won the Brisbane Test but also secured their second Test series victory in Australian soil. This really goes to show how India have come a long way to reach greater heights in terms of performances.
India used to get battered and humiliated by 4-0 but those margins are long gone as India picked up the lessons on the go while also sorting out the woes in every aspect of the game. India lost the first Test at Adelaide Oval but came back stronger in Melbourne to equal the series.
The third Test between the two powerful teams ended in a fascinating draw in Sydney. While both teams were level on terms so far, the fourth and final Test match which was held at The Gabba was the series decider.
In fact, there was so much hype heading into The Gabba Test because Australia never lost a single Test match here for 32 years. But Indians breached the fortress and scripted a memorable win.
(89), Shubman Gill (91) and Cheteshwar Pujara (56) helped India chase down 328.
Ajinkya Rahane deserves a lot of credit for leading the team ever so well in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series.
