Ashton James Turner was born on January 25, 1993 and is an Australian cricketer who made his debut for Western Australia in the 2012/13 season and is also under contract with the Perth Scorchers.
From Perth, Turner represented Western Australia for U15 (school boys), U17 and U19. and led the U-17 team to their victory in the national championships. As a right weirdo, he toured India with the Australian U19 team in September and October 2011, winning eight wickets from six games in a square tournament involving the Australian, Indian, Sri Lankan and West Indian U19 teams.
At the U19 World Cup in 2012 he was Australia's first choice spinner ahead of Victoria's Ashton Agar (Agar was injured and did not play in the World Cup) and won eleven wickets from six games, with his best numbers 4/28 against Nepal.
In February 2017, Turner was named to Australia's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut for Australia against Sri Lanka on February 17, 2017 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In February 2019, he was appointed to Australia's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against India. [19] He made his ODI debut for Australia against India on March 2, 2019, scoring 21 runs with 23 balls. In his second game, he scored an unbeaten 84 balls out of 43 to win the Player of the Game and help Australia achieve their highest successful runner to date in ODIs.
