Cricket Career
He made his List A debut for the Mis Ainak region at the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on August 10, 2017. Prior to his List A debut, he was part of the Afghan squad for the 2016 U19 Cricket World Cup.
He made his premier debut for the Band-e-Amir region in the 2017–18 four-day Ahmad Shah Abdali tournament on October 20, 2017, taking six wickets for 55 runs in the first innings.
In July 2018, he was the leading wicket taker at the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament with thirteen dismissals in five games. In September 2018, he was called up to the Kabul squad for the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament.
On October 5, 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for the Boost Defenders at the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. He was the leading wicket taker at the 2019 Afghanistan Provincial Challenge Cup, with seventeen dismissals in five games.
In November 2019, he was named to the Afghanistan squad for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Bangladesh. After a strong performance at the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, he was called up to Afghanistan's Test squad for the one-off game against the West Indies.
In February 2022 he was called up to Afghanistan's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series against Bangladesh. In May 2022 he was called up to Afghanistan's T20I squad for the series against Zimbabwe and was called up to Afghanistan's One Day International (ODI) squad as a reserve for the same tour. He made his T20I debut on June 11, 2022 for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe.
He made his Test debut for Afghanistan on June 14, 2023 against Bangladesh.
