Mujeeb Zadran joins Peshawar Zalmi Squad in PSL 8. Afghan weirdo Mujeeb Zadran has joined Peshawar Zalmi for the ongoing eighth season of PSL 8. Mujeeb Zadran will play his first game against Quetta Gladiators tonight.
Peshawar Zalmi has received a major boost ahead of their clash with the Quetta Gladiators tonight at the National Bank Cricket Arena. Afghan spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman has joined the squad and will be available for selection for the high-profile encounter.
West Indian all-rounder Rovman Powell left the Peshawar Zalmi Squad while Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka joined Peshawar Zalmi. Captain Babar Azam leads Peshawar Zalmi's troops.
Zalmi has played two games in the eighth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) so far. They won their opening game against the Karachi Kings by 2 runs and lost the following encounter to Multan Sultans by 56 runs.
The Yellow Storm have struggled in the bowling department as they conceded 210 against Multan Sultans and 197 against Karachi Kings. Their bowling unit had no control and lost a lot in the two games they played.
Mujeeb's inclusion in a lackluster bowling session will give them a much-needed boost as Babar's men look to earn their second win on the board and kick-start their journey towards the PSL playoffs.
Peshawar Zalmi's Shakib Al Hasan was forced to leave the squad to attend a family emergency in the United States and was replaced by Azmatullah Omarzai.
The Bangladeshi all-rounder would return to the HBL Pakistan Super League should Peshawar Zalmi qualify for the playoffs.
