Partex Sporting Club have lost their last match too by 27 runs in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) against Legends of Rupganj at BKSP No.3 field in Savar on Wednesday (June 23). No win for Partex in DPL 2021

With that, Partex heve finished the tournament with no win. They played 13 matches and lost 12. The other match saw no result. Batting first in Savar, Legends of Rupganj posted tournament’s highest total of 200 runs losing just 3 wickets. Two openers- Mehedi Maruf and Jaker Ali put on a 169-run partnership at the top which was the second highest opening partnership in Bangladesh cricket. Maruf missed the century just for 6 runs while Jaker scored 76 runs off 48 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Maruf’s 94-run innings consisted of 9 fours and 6 sixes. Chasing the target, Partex showed shambolic batting performance from the beginning of their innings and at one point they were at 100/8 in 15 overs. But Isharul Islam and Jaynul Islam’s 73-run notout partnership in the ninth wicket saved Partex from humiliating defeat. Isharul, Jaynul remained unbeaten on 38 and 37 runs respectively. Sohag Gazi took 3 wickets for Rupganj while Sunzamul Islam bagged 2 wickets. Mehedi Maruf was adjusted man of the match for his blistering innings at the top. So, Partex Sporting Club have been relegated from the tournament as they lost both matches in the Relegation League. While other two teams- Legends of Rupganj and Old DOHS Sports Club have survived.
