In a recent announcement, he declared that he would donate his first month's salary as an advisor to the Chief Advisor's Relief Fund to support flood-affected people.

To oversee the country’s administration, an interim government has been formed, led by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus as Chief Advisor. Among the coordinators of the quota reform movement, two have been appointed to the interim government, including Asif Mahmud, who has been selected as the new Youth and Sports Advisor.

Since assuming his role, Asif has been busy with various activities, including meetings with BCB officials and announcing the formation of a sports institute, earning him significant praise. Now, in light of the country’s flood situation, he has shown great generosity by pledging to donate his first month's salary to aid those affected by the floods.

In a Facebook post, Asif wrote, "I will donate my first month's salary as an advisor to the Chief Advisor's Relief Fund. Let’s all come forward to tackle this crisis."
