Was in the highlight as an all-rounder in age group teams, Mehedi Hasan Miraz debuted his international career in Test for Bangladesh against England in last October. So far so good for the teenage all-rounder, spirited performance with bat and ball earned Mehedi significant recognition in cricket world.
The 19 year old has yet to gain a place in one day team of Bangladesh; returning in the country after the Test series against Sri Lanka, Mehedi Hasan Miraz expressed his earnest wish to inaugurate his one day international career. “I am waiting for Emerging Asia Cup and Dhaka Premier League. I wish to make a place in one day showing performance here” – Miraz said.
Scoring runs in Test matches boosted his confidence, Miraz said, “I was really worried not being able to score run against England and New Zealand. Then I made half century against India and also score some against Sri Lanka although I could not lengthen my innings. Actually it is hard to make big score in the position where I bat.”
