Young all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz will fly to the Caribbean islands later today (Thursday) to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the first time. On the other hand world number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will start his journey on Friday. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ রোমাঞ্চ নিয়ে বৃহষ্পতিবার দেশ ছাড়ছেন মিরাজ] Both of them received the NOC from BCB up to 15th of August to play in CPL. If the Test series against Australia would be cancelled, Mehedi Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan could stay in the Caribbean for the whole tournament. Shakib will play for Jamaica Tallawahs, the team for which he played in the previous season as well. Meanwhile Mehedi Hasan Miraz will feature in Trinbago Knight Riders. The team is owned by Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. Playing in a foreign franchise league for the first time thrilled youngster Miraz. The 19 year old said, “My international career has just began. It is a big opportunity for me to play in franchise league for the first time. I played there before during Under-19 days. But now it is all different.” Trinbago Knight Riders have recruited big names of world cricket like Hashim Amla, Dwayne Bravo, Brendon McCullum and Sunil Narine. Bangladeshi youngster Mehedi Hasan said, “They are high profile cricketers. It is really a big honor for me to be with them. I can learn a lot from them which I could apply in my career later. I will definitely try my best to do well.” The first match of Trinbago Knight Riders will be in 4th of August against St. Lucia.
