Prior to leaving the country for Caribbean, young all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz who is going to feature in any foreign franchise league for the first time, has said he is earnestly waiting to deliver the best level of performance in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ সাকিবের পরামর্শ নিয়ে সিপিএলে গেলেন মিরাজ] Complementing the advices of senior cricketers, the 19 year old prodigy said, “Senior cricketers in the team always encourage me. I’ve talked with Shakib Al Hasan especially. He informed me about the turning wickets over there.” “Shakib said if I could deliver in right spot it would be hard for batsmen to play. He advised me to bowl aggressively maintaining line and length. I could be successful if I will be able to do like that,” Miraz said. Mehedi Hasan Miraz will play for Trinbago Knight Riders, the team of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. Miraz said, “Opportunities float from one place to another. Shahrukh Khan owns a team in Indian Premier League and now I am going to play for his another team in CPL. If I could play well here, I might get an opportunity to appear in the IPL as well. But right now, I am eager to do well in CPL.” The youngster might have to appear in Test series for Bangladesh national team in the midst of CPL. He believes shifting one format from another would not create adjustment troubles for him. “I think as cricketers, we have to have the ability of adjustment. I know the techniques of quickly adjusting from one format to another. The gap between the CPL and the bilateral series for my country would be enough for me to accommodate,” Mehedi Hasan told. “Playing for the country is an all different feeling, it cannot be described in words. Playing in foreign leagues are quite different. I and Shakib Bhai will be the representative of Bangladesh over there. If I could do well, everyone will say a Bangladeshi player have done this! It is a great feeling for a cricketer,” Miraz added.
