Mehidy Hasan Miraz has become the fourth Bangladeshi to take 100 wickets in Test cricket. Left-arm spinner Rafique was the first to take 100 wickets. Rafique took 100 wickets in 33 Tests of his career. Then two left-arm spinners Shakib and Taijul took 100 wickets. Shakib played 28 Tests and Taijul played 25 Tests to take 100 wickets. Miraz touched this milestone in 24 Tests. Before the first Test, his wicket count was 90. He took eight wickets in the first Test and started the Mirpur Test two wickets away from 100 wickets. In the first innings of the second Test, he took only one wicket. In the second innings, the 23-year old spinner took the wicket of Shayne Moseley for his 100th wicket. Meanwhile, West Indies are currently dominating the Mirpur Test. They scored 409 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh were bowled out for 296 in reply. The Caribbeans scored 41 for 3 in the second innings on the third day. At the end of the day they are ahead by 154 runs.
