Bangladesh lost the first Test against Zimbabwe by three wickets in Sylhet, even though they fought hard.  However, there were many important moments for each player to enjoy, including Mehidy Hasan Miraz's 200th wicket and Jaker Ali Anik's record-breaking run with the bat.

The whole team was looking at Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who played amazingly with the ball.  At the end of the game, the off-spinner had taken 10 wickets, five in each innings. He played a vital role in pushing Zimbabwe to the brink in their chase of 174.

During this, Miraz bowled Wellington Masakadza out to get his 200th Test wicket. He is only the third Bangladeshi bowler to hit this milestone, after Shakib Al Hasan (246) and Taijul Islam (219).

Miraz has now played 52 Tests, making him the second-fastest Bangladeshi to 200 wickets. Taijul Islam took 48 Tests, Miraz has now played 52 Tests, and Shakib Al Hasan has played 54 Tests.

In this match, Miraz also took his third 10-wicket haul in Test cricket. This makes him one of Bangladesh's best bowlers in red-ball history.

Even though Miraz was the best bowler, Jaker Ali was the best batter on Day 4. He had steely nerves.  He made a tough 58 off 111 balls while under a lot of pressure, which helped Bangladesh stay in the game even though it wasn't scoring much.

Jaker became the first Bangladeshi player to score fifty in all four of his first Test matches with that bat.  Zakir Hasan had done the same thing in his first three. Jaker has scored 322 runs in just 8 innings, making him one of the best Bangladeshi batters at this point in their careers: 458 runs scored by Mominul Haque, including a hundred, Habibul Bashar Sumon scored 334 runs and 322 runs are scored by Jaker Ali.
