Australia's veteran wicketkeeper batter Matthew Wade has joined Gujrat Titans as an assistant coach for IPL 2025. And last year, he announced retirement from international cricket and wasn’t a part of the mega auction.
"Champion. Fighter. Now our Assistant Coach! Welcome back to the GT Dugout, Matthew Wade!,” the Titans wrote while welcoming Wade.
Wade will be joining a panel of superstar coaches, batting coach Parthiv Patel, head coach Ashish Nehra, and assistant coaches Aashish Kapoor and Narender Negi as part of GT's coaching staff.
Wade overall played 15 matches in the IPL where he scored 183 runs at a dismal average of 13.07.

The IPL 2025 begins from March 22 as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru. While Gujrat Titans commence journey from March 25, playing against Punjab Kings.
