In the post-match press conference, Markram said, “Kagiso is a superstar for us. He's been a superstar for us for years. To see all those stats pop up about him after he took that to the end of the week, I think it really proves that he's one in a million. We're really lucky to have him on our team, and it's obviously fantastic. I just got to see him do well.”
Talking about Verreynne’s innings, Markram added, “In terms of Kyle, I think it was a really special moment for him in and out of the team over the last few years, and had a bit of backing now from the management side of things. He just looks really comfortable now in the environment. We all know he can play. He's a good player for spin, and for him to score 100 in his first test match in the subcontinent is a really special feat.”
