Mahmudullah's message towards Mashrafe on retirement.[/caption] The day fourth of April has turned out to be a dark day for millions of Bangladesh Cricket team fans from all over the world as Mashrafe Mortaza has announced his retirement from twenty/20 internationals in this day. Though, it was not his last match as he will end his career in the shorter format after the next match in Sri Lanka. Like fans, this decision has come as a big surprise for his team mates as well. Mahmudullah Riyad has came ahead to wish him good luck for future and congratulates for the glorious twenty/20 career he had.

The all-rounder in his verified Facebook page has posted an open letter towards his leader. He said, "Mashrafe bhai, first I would like to congratulate you for your wonderful achievements in T20 internationals. We will really gonna miss you specially me. You are my brother, my friend whom I can share everything. You are a fighter, a great leader & captain & a true champion. Feeling really sad but that's how our life goes!you have showed us how to build a team like a family. I have learnt so many things from you. No doubt you are a terrific player & most importantly a very good human being. Mash we all love you. RESPECT #LEGEND.'' Earlier, Mashrafe made the announcement during the toss interview of the first 20-over affair at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday evening. He has led Bangladesh in 27 matches, including Tuesday’s game, which is the highest for the team and won nine of them.
