Mahmudul Joy's splendid fifer hands Bangladesh HP team a thriller of a win over Pakistan Shaheens

Bangladesh HP team beat Pakistan Shaheens in a thriller of a match to level the series on Monday (29th July) the DXC Arena in Darwin. The HP team claimed all the 6 wickets that required, while the Shaheens dug in but fell 5 short from the victory. Bangladesh's skipper Mahmudul Hasan Joy led the team with his miraculous spell of 5-21 to help his side win the thriller.
Pakistan Shaheens needed 160 to win the game with Haseebullah and Tayyab Tahir on the crease. The former one departed after scoring a crucial fifty, while Tahir found Omar Bin Yousuf as partner to stitch 65-run stand before Tahir fell to Joy.
Mahmudul needed the breakthrough and then he riot through the Pakistan's middle order. But Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali showed a gutsy show as they stitched a spirited eight-wicket stand of 57 runs which came off 93 balls keeping Bangladesh HP at bay.
But it was the Bangladesh skipper yet again who brought the Tigers back, removing Ali and seven balls later Khurram's 57-ball rearguard was ended by the skipper to hand Bangladesh a famous win by 5 runs.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy was aided well by Rejaur Rehman Raja and Hasan Murad who returned figures of 3-85 and 2-62 respectively.
