Former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardena reacted to the match-fixing allegation on the Sri Lankan cricket team by the former Sports Minister of the country. Sri Lanka to probe 2011 WC final

The latest breaking news around the Sri Lankan cricket team is the allegation made by former Sri Lankan Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage. The former minister said that the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 between India and Sri Lanka was fixed. On 18th June, the former minister talked about the match-fixing issues to the media. “I would not involve the cricketers in this. However, certain groups were definitely involved in fixing the game,” he said to the press. He further said that he doesn't want to talk about things more for the sake of the country. He stressed one thing that certain groups were involved in match-fixing during the mega event.
