Surrey Jaguars secured a sensational victory against Brampton Wolves in the Canada Global T20 League, thanks to an outstanding batting performance by Bangladesh opener Liton Das. His match-winning knock earned him the Man of the Match award following Surrey Jaguars' victory. 

Batting first, Brampton Wolves managed to set a target of 128 runs, losing 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Colin de Grandhomme top-scored for the side with a hard-fought 34 runs off 34 balls. But apart from him, no one else managed to reach the 15-run mark. Mathew Ford, Aamer Khalid, and Aayan Khan each took two wickets for the Surrey Jaguars.

Chasing the target, Surrey Jaguars faced an early setback as openers Mohammad Haris and Jotinder Singh departed early, with the latter falling to a golden duck. However, Liton Das steadied the team under pressure.

At 21 runs and 3 wickets down, captain Liton found support from Pakistan star batsman Iftikhar Ahmed who is also the vice-captain of the Surrey Jaguars. The duo stitched a vital partnership of 99 runs for the fourth wicket. Before going back to the pavilion, Liton hit a match-winning half-century. He scored 59 runs off 45 balls, including three fours and four sixes. Even after his departure, Iftikhar resumed displaying resilience, taking the team to victory with an unbeaten 38 runs off 41 balls. With this victory, Surrey Jaguars have firmly set their eyes on the road to triumph in the tournament.
