Young leg-spin star Rishad Hossain from Bangladesh is making waves in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with his amazing bowling for Lahore Qalandars. Rishad has been destroying the other team's batting lines with amazing control and accuracy, getting praise from everyone, including club owner Sameen Rana and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.
His performances are still making waves in the tournament, and now Lahore Qalandars have shared a behind-the-scenes video showing how the 21-year-old prepares mentally for their next match and what he does in training.
In the video, Rishad shared, “I’m Rishad Hossain, heading to Multan Stadium for training with Lahore Qalandars. I hope everyone enjoyed our performance in the last match. We’re looking forward to doing even better in upcoming games. Insha’Allah, we want to keep pushing Lahore Qalandars forward. Please keep us in your prayers.”
Fans can get a close look at the workouts that help Rishad keep his shape in this video. During warm-ups, focused overs of bowling, and times of meditation, the leggie stressed how important it was to keep his mind at peace in order to stay consistent.
“Before each game, I focus on warming up properly and finding mental calm. In T20s, I usually bowl 4 to 6 overs during practice – just enough to get in the zone. Today’s routine is no different. I’m preparing for our game against Multan Sultans,” he said.
Speaking further, Rishad noted the difference in conditions in Multan compared to Karachi and shared his determination to perform in all three departments of the game. “It’s hotter here in Multan than in Karachi, but we’re adjusting. I’m trying to give my best in batting, bowling, and fielding. Insha’Allah, we’re aiming to beat Multan Sultans and reach the top of the table. Keep supporting us!”
After three matches in PSL 2025, Lahore Qalandars sit second on the points table with two wins and four points. Their next challenge comes on April 22 against the high-flying Multan Sultans, and fans will be watching closely to see if Rishad can continue his dream run.
