Bangladesh young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is having a great time with Lahore Qalandars.  The 22-year-old has made an immediate impact in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, which is his first league play outside of his home country. He is also currently the top wicket-taker in the league.

Rishad has taken six wickets in just two games for Lahore Qalandars. He has taken three wickets in each of his last two games, showing how skilled, calm, and effective he is with the ball.

Again, Rishad's amazing game against Karachi Kings on Tuesday made a lot of people take notice.  He hit Shan Masood with his first ball and got rid of him. He then got another wicket in the same over.  Later, he came back and got a third wicket in his second turn, giving him a total of 3/26 in 4 overs.

The stunning performances haven’t gone unnoticed. Lahore Qalandars owner Sameen Rana was all praise for the Bangladeshi spinner after the match. In a post from the Qalandars’ official Facebook page, Samin expressed his admiration with a heartfelt shoutout, “Where is my Bangladeshi brother, Rishad? I love you!”

He further added with confidence, “You are the highest wicket-taker so far in the tournament, and I am sure by the time the tournament will be finished, you’ll be the highest wicket-taker.”

Earlier, Lahore skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi also praised Rishad, calling him the “future star of Bangladesh cricket.” With consistent breakthroughs in the middle overs, Rishad has quickly become a key asset in Lahore’s bowling lineup.
