High Court suggested approaching the Lodha committee to Kochi Tuskers Kerala[/caption] A petitioner, who demanded inclusion of Kochi Tuskers Kerala team in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been asked by the Kerala High Court to approach the former chief justice of India RM Lodha headed the three-member committee to solve this matter. According to the reports in Times of India, the High court said in its order, “All these and any other grievance that the petitioner has, could more appropriately be dealt with by the Chief Justice RM Lodha Committee and if the said committee has any difficulty and/or reservation in examining the said issues, the same can be forwarded to the appropriate Forum in BCCI itself. But surely, in the first instance, this Court would be reluctant to interfere in the matter.” To be noted, the franchise representing Kochi played their last match on 18 May 2011, before its contract was terminated by the BCCI. This was done due to an alleged breach of the contract by the consortium of five companies put together by Rendezvous Sports World. However, If the franchise somehow manages to make its way into the next edition then IPL 11 will see a comeback of as many as three franchises.
