England's white-ball captain Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the West Indies ODI series as he's completing his recovery from calf injury. All-rounder Liam Livingstone will lead the English side in absence of Buttler.

Jos Buttler also missed the last home Australia white-ball series due to calf injury. 
Buttler sustained this calf injury during The Hundred 2024. And he's now set to miss the three-match ODI series against the West Indies after suffering a slight setback in his rehabilitation. Liam Livingstone will step up as the captain for the ODI series with the all-rounder is set to lead England for the very first time. However, England are yet to name a replacement of Joss Buttler.

But Buttler will join the English team before the five-match T20I series against the West Indies.
The squad will fly for the Caribbeans next week with Buttler to join in Barbados ahead of the five-match T20 series, which commences on Saturday 9 November. The three-match ODI series begins in Antigua on Thursday 31 October.
