Saint Lucia Kings beat Guyana Amazon Warriors by 6 wickets to win the CPL on Monday (October 7) at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Noor Ahmed's brilliant three wicket-haul restricted Warriors to a paltry 138 runs. In reply, Rost Chase' outstanding 39* off 22 balls, along with Aaron Jones 48* off 31 deliveries helped Kings chase down the total to win the CPL 2024 title.

At one point of the chase, St Lucia were stumbling on 51-4 and then Aaron Jones and Roston Chase forged a spectacular 88* runs stand to propel Kings home.
Being inserted to bat first, Warriors had a worst way to start the innings, losing opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz for a two-ball duck. Moeen Ali too fell to Noor Ahmed and they were in all sorts of trouble. Wicketkeeper batter Shai Hope then made a gritty 22 off 24 balls and was knocked over to Roston Chase.

The entire middle order couldn’t stand a bit as they were departing scoring 10's. At the backend of the innings, Dwaine Pretorius' quick-fire 25 off 12 balls and Romario Shepherd's late blitz of 19* off 9 balls helped Warriors post 138 on the board.

In reply, Kings captain Faf du Plessis departed earlier on scoring a slowish 21 off 21 deliveries. And then Johnson Charles too couldn’t do anything as he scoref only 7 off 10 balls. No. 3 batter Ackeem Auguste made only 13 off 15 with Tim Seifert scored a struggling 3 off 10 balls as Saint Lucia Kings were stumbling on 51-4.

And then Roston Chase and Aaron Jones took the onus on their shoulders, forging a spectacular partnership of 88 runs off only 50 deliveries, where Chase contributed with a swashbuckling 39* off 22 balls and Jones made a fantastic 48* from just 31 balls to help Saint Lucia Kings take the title of CPL 2024.
