Heinrich Klaasen pulls out of CPL 2024, Tim Seifert comes in as replacement
Klaasen was the part of St. Lucia Kings squad and now the franchise has roped in Tim Seifert as the replacement of Klaasen.

South Africa explosive middle order batter Heinrich Klaasen has opted himself out of upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, which commences from Thursday. Klaasen was the part of St. Lucia Kings squad and now the franchise has roped in Tim Seifert as the replacement of Klaasen.

St. Lucia Kings finished on third in the last season of CPL and made it to the eliminator. This will be a huge loss for the Kings as Klaasen is well-known for his monstrous hitting at the middle overs. However, Blackcaps Wicket-keeper batter Tim Seifert, who played for Trinbago Knight Riders previously will replace Klaasen at St. Lucia Kings.
Also Sikandar Raza has pulled out of the CPL as well with an injury. The Zimbabwe allrounder posted on 'X' that he would be missing the entire tournament. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are yet to name a replacement of the all-rounder.

The 12th edition of the Caribbean Premier League will begin on August 30 with Antigua and Barbuda Falcons taking on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
