India’s premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings, following a remarkable performance in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia. Bumrah’s dominant displays with the ball played a crucial role in India’s massive 295-run victory in Perth, taking hauls of 5/30 and 3/42 across the two innings.
With this performance, Bumrah has surpassed Australia's Josh Hazlewood and South Africa's Kagiso Rabada to reach 883 rating points — a career-best for any Indian seam bowler in Test cricket.
Furthermore In the ICC Test Bowling Rankings, several West Indies pacers made notable progress following their performances against Bangladesh. Jayden Seales moved up three places to 11th, while Kemar Roach and Alzarri Joseph improved to 17th and 29th, respectively, reflecting their contributions in the first Test in Antigua.

Jaiswal now sits just behind England's Joe Root, who remains the No.1 batter with 903 points.
Veteran India batter Virat Kohli also made significant strides in the rankings. Following his 30th Test century, Kohli moved up nine places to 13th, continuing his climb in the ICC rankings.
