The World Cup is over, but the autopsy is underway. Australia excelled in team performance, many were brilliant in individual performance. Many are making the best eleven with those bright stars. Bangladesh's Mahmudullah Riyad is in the best XI selected by English legend James Anderson.

Anderson, however, did not make his best XI judging by his batting position or role as a cricketer. He has kept one cricketer from each country in the XI, two from India.

From Bangladesh is Mahmudullah Riyad, who single-handedly led Bangladesh in the World Cup. Although Riyad did well, the team suffered a complete collapse. Despite this, Riyad's name keeps coming up in post-World Cup talks. 

Mahmudullah scored 328 runs in 8 matches with an average of 54.66 and a strike-rate of 91.62. He was the team’s highest run-scorer by far as Litton comes next to him with 284 runs.
