Delhi Capitals have signed Jake Fraser McGurk as the replacement of Lungi Ngidi who pulled out of IPL 2024 for injury issues. On Friday, the Delhi Capitals have announced their replacement of Harry Brook, the young prodigious batter Jake Fraser McGurk who was unsold in the IPL auction of 2024.
Earlier this summer, Fraser-McGurk peeled off a maiden List A century in extraordinary circumstances, reaching triple figures in just 29 deliveries against Tasmania at Adelaide’s Karen Rolton Oval to break the all-time record for fastest white-ball century in professional cricket.
His 125 (38), which featured five singles and 13 sixes, established himself as one of Australian cricket’s brightest prospects, with the right-hander earning a maiden national call-up in January.
The Melbourne Renegades star played two ODIs against the West Indies, clobbering 41 (18) during an eight-wicket victory in Canberra. He'll now join the legends of the Cricket, the likes of Ricky Ponting, David Warner etc etc.
The IPL is set to be commenced from 22nd March with Chennai Super Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore.
