Pakistan's red-ball head coach, Jason Gillespie, recently shared his frustrations about the lack of role clarity and communication within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The former Australian fast bowler, who was recently removed from the selection panel alongside captain Shan Masood, has been facing a series of challenges since taking on his coaching role.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Gillespie revealed that when he first joined Pakistan cricket, he was informed about a long-term plan that has since changed drastically. The coach explained that after a few setbacks, the situation became chaotic, leaving him in an unpredictable environment.

Gillespie stated, "I think there's always frustrations from time to time. For me, when I came on board with Pakistan cricket, I was told there was a long-term plan, and we need to make sure our communication's spot on. I made that a real focus, and so you can get frustrated if those things aren't done how you would like."

He further admitted, "It wasn't what I signed up for, I'll be completely honest. But this is one of those situations in which you just need to go with the flow. I'm in a different environment, and things are done differently."

Since Gillespie's arrival, the selection panel has been changed three times. Despite these adjustments, the coach has remained professional and committed to helping the Pakistan cricket team improve.

"A lot's changed. Since I've been involved, we're already on our third selection panel. These are the things you just got to take in your stride and understand that we're in a different environment."

Gillespie also acknowledged the cultural differences, emphasizing that as a foreigner in Pakistan, he must adapt to how things are done.

"Lots of things change in Pakistan at the drop of a hat. I've got to always remember that I'm a foreigner in Pakistan, and I've got to respect that."

While facing these challenges, Gillespie remains optimistic about the future, focusing on improving Pakistan's players and contributing to the team's success.
