Late is better than never. This English proverb gave Bdcrictime hope. And we all know, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

Why I'm talking about late and hope? Let's clear it. Bdcrictime wanted to cover all the important matches of IPL, the most Popular T20 league in the world. Just before the last date of online application, Bdcrictime appealed for the accreditation.

After getting the accreditation, we applied for visa and were busy on fulfilling other formalities to travel India. So, finally on 20th April Bdcrictime travelled to India. Here comes the 'late' part.

We talked about "late" at the beginning. Why? Because we went to India after 29 days of passing IPL matches. Bdcrictime team missed the first 35 matches of IPL 2024.
After landing in Kolkata, our first target was to get the accreditation card in real. So on the same day we landed, we went to Eden Gardens to collect the accreditation card.
The media manager of CAB(Cricket Association Of Bengal handed over the card to usnon a very hot day in the city of joy. But the most exciting and challenging part of the whole story was me, who was about to cover the first ever IPL match in India for Bdcrictime.

On the next day, we entered into the press box and met journalists over there. They accepted me humbly. As kolkata and Bangladesh speak in Bengali and their culture is quite same, it was quite easy for me to be one of them. I watched the m8atch Between RCB & KKR. It was a wonderful match indeed. KKR won by just 1 runs after a thrilling moment. After the match I attended the press conference of the two teams and it was fun.

But after the match an incident happened. As RCB lost in a frustrating way, their team skipped the press conference and started moving from the stadium. After communicating several times they agreed for the press conference and sent Reece Toply to speak on behalf of them. Though he was not in the playing eleven.

But never the less, somehow RCB managed not to Avoid the Press Conference. Though they were late but It's better than never. Just like my story of my experience of covering IPL. A simple and outstanding journey taught really a beautiful thing.
