The Indian Premier League is scheduled to start at the evening of September 19th. It is the best platform for all the players to show off their skills to get selected to their national team. According to that, we have witnessed a lot of players like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar and much more have been picked up for the Indian team after their fabulous performances during the IPL. On the other side, it is very difficult for the players to get into the line-up as there have already been some big names in their team. As the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is going to start in few days, we have picked some names who might warm the bench throughout the season. 5. Gurkeerat Singh (Royal Challengers Bangalore) A middle-order batsman and a handy bowler caught the eyes of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2020 IPL Auction. The latter started his IPL career with Kings Xi Punjab in the 5th edition. After that, he was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2018 and later moved to RCB. He played three games and scored 98 runs in the last season that he played at an average of around 33. It would be difficult for him to get a chance to play as they have already so many players in their set-up. 4. Karn Sharma (Chennai Super Kings) Karn Sharma began his IPL stint in 2014 with Sunrisers Hyderabad who bought him for an RS.3.75 Crore. He played a vital role in the spin department for Hyderabad and later moved to Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2017 IPL. He picked up 13 wickets during the season at 16.46 including a four wicket-haul. In 2018, he was bought by Chennai Super Kings for a whopping price of RS.5 Crore in the IPL Auction 2018. After that, he barely gets a chance to feature in the team and the same is expected in this season too. 3. Saurabh Tiwary (Mumbai Indians) The left-handed batsman who is known for his hard-hitting skills started his career with the defending champions Mumbai Indians in 2008. He came into the limelight when he struck 419 runs in 16 outings at an average of around 30. After that, he played for Rising Pune Supergiants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals and bought back by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2017. Since then, he did not play a single match for his franchise in the last two IPL seasons. 2. Rahul Tripathi Rahul Tripathi started off his IPL career with the then Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017. He played well during the league and ended up with 391 runs in his account from 12 games. After that, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL Auction 2018 and continued to feature in the next season too. In 2020, Kolkata Knight Rider traded him for RS.60 Lakhs ahead of the 13the edition of the cash-rich league. However, he might warm the bench as they have a strong batting line-up with the likes of Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan and others. 1, Wriddhiman Saha The veteran wicket-keeper batsman, Wriddhiman Saha, is a regular fixture in the Indian Test squad. He started his campaign with Kolkata Knight Riders for first three seasons. Later, he went on to play for Chennai Super Kings between 2011-2013. Finally, he came to the spotlight when he played for Kings Xi Punjab in the IPL 2014 where he 362 runs in 17 matches including a 115 in the final against Kolkata Knight Rider in a losing cause. He was bought by SunRisers Hyderabad ahead of the 2019 IPL. He might not get any game in this season as the Orange Army got Johnny Bairstow who destroys the opposition bowling alley with his hard-hitting skills along with David Warner and co.
