After bundling India for a paltry 150 runs, Aussie batters too misfired as they were all-out for only 104 runs.
India then came back miraculously as a record-breaking 200+ run partnership between KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal has put them upfront of the Aussies. Jaiswal ended with a swashbuckling 161-run knock. Virat Kohli too smashed a century, his first Test hundred in 16 months as India piled up 533 runs on the boards.
Aussies had to survive 12 overs of day three but they lost three wickets in this short span. On fourth day, Travis Head counterattacked Indian bowling lineup, so did Marsh but none was able to chase down this massive total as the Aussies were bundled out for 238 runs and lost the game by 295 rund to drop down to No. 2 position in the WTC standings.
