Jarvo, the infamous British citizen, entered the field directly in the World Cup. The British prankster and YouTuber has made headlines several times by entering the field during games. In 2021, he entered the stadium multiple times during the England vs India match. Today again he entered the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and got close to Indian star Virat Kohli. 

Known as Jarvo on the cricket field, his real name is Daniel Jarvis. He claims to be a supporter of India. Jarvo was immediately taken away by Indian security personnel after the incident. Kohli also approached Jarvo and spoke to him.

“We will work with the venue to understand what happened and consider if any additional security measures are required to prevent it happening again. The individual concerned has been banned from attending any further games at the event,” said an ICC spokesperson to PTI.

On August 28, 2021, Jarvis first made headlines when he invaded the pitch during the second Test match between England and India. In complete cricket attire, he breached security and entered the playing field, an act that was widely shared and discussed on social media. Despite this initial intrusion, Jarvis was not initially prohibited from cricket grounds, as pitch incursions were not considered a jailable offence.

His exploits did not end there, however. Jarvis continued to invade grounds during subsequent Tests, even evading security at Lord's and Headingley despite being prohibited from these locations. On one occasion, he was observed donning an Indian Test match uniform with "Jarvo" inscribed on the back and bowling a ball before colliding with England batsman Jonny Bairstow. This incident resulted in his arrest on suspicion of assault, marking the first time his actions had legal repercussions.

It should be noted that Australia could not stand in front of India's spin trio in the India- Australia match, which was the subject of so many incidents. They were bowled out for just 199 runs. Indian spinners took six wickets. In response, despite the collapse of the top order, India won by six wickets with the help of Virat Kohli's 85 runs and KL Rahul's unbeaten 97 runs.
