Former Pakistani cricketer and former head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja praised Babar Azam's performance in the ongoing Lanka Premier League 2023 campaign in Sri Lanka. Ramiz Raja made a peculiar claim while praising Babar Azam's consistency, stating that he would want to marry the Pakistani cricketer.

Babar is playing for Colombo Strikers in the ongoing LPL and having a great time with the bat there. Ramiz is also in LPL as a commentator. While commentating on Babar's match, Ramiz was full of praise for the Pakistan national team captain.

Ramiz praised Babar when he scored a half-century on the way to a great century against Shakib Al Hasan's team Galle Titans. "Fifty in security, class, and quality, calmness. He is your guy in such a situation, in the back deep in the innings. I just absolutely love him, wanna marry him," Ramiz said while commentating.

Ramiz may have made such comments in the guise of a joke, or to explain how much he likes Babar’s batting. However, some are laughing, some are criticizing. Many are reminding that Ramiz talks nonsense.

The cricket world has seen the chemistry of Babar Ramiz a few days ago. Imran Khan appointed Ramiz as PCB Chairman. Babar was Pakistan's captain in three formats even before that. Pakistan's performance during Ramiz's tenure was also flying. Even when the acceptability of Pakistan as a venue was questioned, Ramiz brought back that image.
