Bangladesh cricketer Litton Das got a chance to play only a match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year. Litton’s desire to play in a franchise league for a whole season after BPL was fulfilled in Canada's Global T20 League. He ended the tournament by being the runner-up.

Irrespective of team performance, individual performances in franchise cricket also matter. Litton has played in 8 matches for the team. Except for one match, he came down to the crease with the bat in the remaining 7 innings. He scored a total of 152 runs at an average of 21.71. There is a half-century, the innings of 59 runs, which gave the team victory.

However, Litton's strike rate is disappointing. He had to face 151 balls to score 152 runs. That is, the run rate was parallel to the number of balls. The strike-rate is therefore very modest - 100.66. Litton hit 9 fours and 7 sixes throughout the tournament. That is, out of 152 runs, 78 runs came from boundaries which is 51 percent of the total runs.

The 28-year-old cricketer is the 8th highest run-scorer in the tournament. Fakhar Zaman, Corbin Bosch, Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Jatinder Singh, Mohammad Rizwan, Colin Munro, Sherfane Rutherford, and Chris Lynn have more runs than him.

All of them have a higher strike-rate than Litton. Even in terms of average, Litton is the lowest among the top 8 run-scorers.

The right-handed batter scored 9 runs in his first match against the Montreal Tigers, in that match he was the victim of Shakib Al Hasan. He did not bat in the next game, but scored 21 runs in the third game against the Toronto Nationals. Litton scored 25 against the Mississauga Panthers and won the Man of the Match award with a scintillating 59 against the Brampton Wolves. After getting out for 10 runs against Mississauga and 16 runs against the Vancouver Knights, he could not play well in the finals, returning to the dressing room with 12 runs.
