India have beaten India by 15 runs on Friday (January 31) in Pune to clinch the T20I series with one game to go. Shivam Dube [53 off 34] and Hardik Pandya [53 off 30] helped the hosts get to a massive 181 on the board. In reply, Ravi Bishnoi and Harshit Rana shared three wickets each to hand India 15-run victory.

Being inserted to bat first, India had a horrible way to start their innings. Saqib Mahmood ran riot with the new ball, removing the top three inside a single over left India reeling at 12-3. Rinku Singh and Abhishek Sharma stitched a fine partnership of 45 runs off 32 deliveries before the departure of Abhishek on 29 off 19 balls to Adil Rashid. Rinku Singh too soon departed.

Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya then forged a massive partnership of 87 runs off 45 deliveries, whereas both of them brought up fifties each. India posted a competitive total of 181 runs.

In reply, wicketkeeper batter Phil Salt and Ben Duckett added 62 runs inside 6 overs before the departure of Duckett on his individual 39 off 19 deliveries. Ravi Bishnoi removed skipper Jos Buttler on 2 off 3 balls, while wickets kept tumbling at the other ends but Harry Brook stood tall as he blasted a superb 51 off just 26 deliveries before Varun Chakravarthy got rid him off.

Apart from Harry Brook, no-one really stood up from the English lineup as they fell short of 15 runs as India claimed the series with one game to go.
